Every so often I’ll be highlighting some of the spy games I’ve picked up from various second hand stores over the years. I haven’t played most of these yet, as finding willing spy game participants can be tricky, but I’m hoping to road test some of these as the kids get older.
Here we have Conspiracy: A Spy Game of Bluffing and Betrayal. This is a board game for 3 to 4 players. There are several “spies” and the goal is to get a briefcase filled with secrets back to your capital. You can do this by paying off various spies.

I haven’t played this one but there was another I remember from Washington’s called International Spy Ring. I remember playing this one during the 1970s as my neighbour had it.
Recently we have played a game called Scotland Yard which is kind of spy related as a team of covert operatives chase the mysterious Mr X. Most entertaining and plenty of opportunities for exercising your counter-surveillance techniques.

I hadn’t heard of International Spy Ring. I’ll have to add it to the list and keep an eye out.
I have Scotland Yard too and have been waiting for the right moment to break it out. Might still be a bit too advanced for my kids. Sounds like it’s fun!
