Every so often I’ll be highlighting some of the spy games I’ve picked up from various second hand stores over the years. I haven’t played most of these yet, as finding willing spy game participants can be tricky, but I’m hoping to road test some of these as the kids get older.
Did you ever think you could do it better than Alec Leamas? In Enemy Agent: The Game of Foreign Intrigue you can test your skills and see if you would have ended up living happily ever after with Elizabeth Gold!
This a board game that has you put together some rather fiddly little model barracks and walls to simulate some type of east/west border crossing. There are two players and the goal is to get your agents and secret documents either through border control or over the wall. Included is a little electronic passport reader that you would use when crossing the border.
Here’s hoping you win making it safely across and don’t end up seeing “… a small car smashed between great lorries, and the children waving cheerfully through the window.”
You can find more on the game at the excellent site Board Game Geek.
