Welcome back as we look at season 5 episode 2 of SLOW HORSES.
I’m pleased to welcome back Dr. Mary to the show to break down all the details of this episode.
We talk about the Roddy’s apartment, that David and Goliath matchup, and the group least likely to go to a fancy restaurant. We also get into Catherine’s snack planning, pints of Red Bull and River’s inappropriate exercise attire.
Plus what kind of teacher would Lamb be? Or Taverner?
All that and more in this episode!

London Rules is the Herron book that sent me over the edge to become a superfan. It’s so deliciously funny and I was happy to see much of that humour made its way into this episode.
The interior of Roddy’s home was a joy: The Decor! The Water Bed! The Swords! And it only got better when we see them move into that hilarious elevator; the stinky genius of Lamb vs hip but vapid modern London. Awards all round for Choi Man, production designer.
Incidentally, the blue bottle of bleach would be Domestos – found in many bathrooms in the UK. Lavatory humour all the way with Lamb. Poor Shirley is still in that hideous beige jacket (worryingly, I’ve found you can buy them online if Shirley Dander is your fashion guru of choice).
